Terms & Conditions
Registrations
1. Registration in the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. The Pitch for the Future Team reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions without notice and at its sole discretion.
2. Students must be in high school, currently on a gap year, a college freshman or a college sophomore during the entire competition timeline stated below. Failure of participants to meet or disclose the above-mentioned requirements will result in disqualification of the entire team.
3. Students register individually:
Registration Fee
a. The Early Bird registration fee is US $15 per student. Early Bird individual registration stage dates:
April 1st- May 31st (GMT+0), 23:59.
b. The Regular registration fee is US $20 per student. Regular individual registration stage dates:
June 1st - July 31st (GMT+0), 23:59.
c. The registration form closes automatically on July 31st (GMT+0), 23:59.
No registrations will be accepted after this time.
d. Students may reduce the registration fee by using a promo code (not accessible upon request).
4. Cancellation policy:
a. Registration fees are non-refundable.
b. By paying the registration fee and submitting your registration form, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the Pitch for the Future no refund policy.
5. All correspondence regarding the Pitch for the Future 2025 Competition will be made through the nominated contact details provided when registering. These emails must NOT be school emails.
6. Participants may enter the competition either individually or as part of a team consisting of two to three students.
If participating in a team, it is the responsibility of the team leader to properly register the team and its members with the correct emails. A full team consists of 2 or 3 students in total. Team registration deadline: July 31st( GMT+0), 23:59.
7. Pitch for the Future is not responsible for updating incorrect email addresses.
8. Failure of all team members to complete their individual registrations will result in disqualification of the entire team.
9. Participants under the age of 18 years will be deemed to have obtained the permission of their parent or guardian to participate in the competition.
10. The Team Leader’s email will be used as identification for the team when accessing registrant-exclusive events and resources, as well as the written submissions in the regional and global rounds.
11. The timeline of the competition is:
a. Regional Round
Video submission deadline August 13th (GMT+0), 23:59
Regional winners announcement August 21st (GMT+0), 23:59
b. Global Round
Global Round Live Pitch starts from August 27th - 31st August (exact time depends on the finalists’ timezones)
Global Winners announcement September 5th (GMT+0), 23:59
All changes will be published on the competition website, www.pitchforthefuture.com.
12. During the Regional and Global rounds, teams/individuals compete with each other based on the region the team represents. The selected region must reflect that in which the contestants are currently residing or studying and not place of birth or nationality if it differs from the aforementioned.
The following regions are available for selection:
a. Asia (including East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, NZ & AU)
b. North America
c. Europe + Central Asia
d. Latin America
e. MENA + Africa + Russia
13. Regional Round:
a. A video presentation will be submitted by the individual participant/team leader via YouTube ONLY. YouTube video link submission deadline August 13th (GMT+0) 23:59.
b. Video presentation must be a minimum of 2 minutes in length and a maximum of 3 minutes in length.
c. Participants have full creative discretion in producing their videos. They may choose to use slides, adopt a documentary format, or present their content in an artistic style
d. Any video submissions not adhering to the above-mentioned will be disqualified.
e. Note that no scores, comments, or marked judging rubrics will be provided to participants for first round submissions due to the high volume of submissions.
14. Global Round:
The top 3 submissions from each region (15 teams overall) will be invited to the global virtual finals where they will present their work to a panel of global judges.
a. The Live Pitch must be a minimum of 3 minutes in length to a maximum of 5 minutes in length.
b. The Live Pitch will be followed by a 5-minute question and answer period.
c. If you're participating in a team, all team members must be present and speak during the Live Pitch.
15. Teams/individual participants must be present, available, online, and ready in the digital waiting room 10 minutes prior and 10 minutes after their allotted time slot (specified and communicated to participants over the course of the competition) during the Live Pitch time.
16. Students must have access to internet speeds capable of supporting video conferencing tools for presentations. The recommended internet speeds are 1.5Mbps/1.5Mbps (upload/download).
Presentation Rules for the Global Round
1. Detailed requirements about the Powerpoint slide decks will be sent to the finalists once the regional winners are announced.
2. The appendix should be included in slides after the conclusion of the presentation and can contain additional research or resources that can be referred to during the presentation and Q&A. The appendix itself will not be marked. EACH TEAM MAY HAVE A MAXIMUM OF FIVE APPENDIX SLIDES. ANY SLIDES AFTER FIVE WILL BE DISCARDED.
3. Teams/Individual Participants invited to present in the global round will have 3-5 minutes to present their strategy and solutions. Anything said beyond this time limit will be disregarded. Each presentation will be followed by 3-5 minutes of questions and answers from the judging panel. These questions will directly relate to the proposal and test their understanding of sustainability concepts.
4. Each team will be scored based on the 3-5 minute presentation, and for their performance during the five-minute Q&A session. The winning solutions will be determined by the sum of these two marks.
Further details will be provided to Finalists as the Global Final approaches.
Prizes
1. Main prizes:
a. 1st Place: A cash award of $1,000. If the winning entry is submitted by an individual, the full amount will be awarded to that individual. If the winning entry is submitted by a team, the cash prize will be distributed equally among all registered team members. In addition to the cash award, the first-place winner(s) will receive: Complimentary enrollment in a virtual work experience program, A certificate of achievement, and Publication of their video solution on the official Pitch for the Future website and Instagram page.
b. 2nd Place: A cash award of $750. If the winning entry is submitted by an individual, the full amount will be awarded to that individual. If the winning entry is submitted by a team, the cash prize will be distributed equally among all registered team members. In addition to the cash award, the first-place winner(s) will receive: Complimentary enrollment in Indigo Research Program, A certificate of achievement, and Publication of their video solution on the official Pitch for the Future website and Instagram page.
c. 3rd Place: A cash reward of $500 cash. If the winning entry is submitted by an individual, the full amount will be awarded to that individual. If the winning entry is submitted by a team, the cash prize will be distributed equally among all registered team members. In addition to the cash award, the first-place winner(s) will receive: 50% off on a program of their choosing: Virtual Work Experience, Indigo Research, or Delta AI, A certificate of achievement, and Publication of their video solution on the official Pitch for the Future website and Instagram page.
2. Prizes must be claimed by March 31, 2026 latest.
4. Prizes are not transferable or refundable.
Consent to Receive Marketing Communications
By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you consent to receive marketing materials, news, updates, and other communications via email from the partners and sponsors of the Pitch for the Future (PFF) competition, including but not limited to Crimson Education, Mad Courses, and Titling Futures. You may opt-out of receiving such communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each email.
Competition Management
1. If this Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Pitch for the Future Team, Pitch for the Future Team
reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law
(a) to disqualify any team or participation; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition, as appropriate.
2. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, Pitch for the Future Team (including its officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, were arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Pitch for the Future Team’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorized access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by Pitch for the Future Team) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Pitch for the Future Team; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or participant; or (f) use of the prizes.
3. Each participant indemnifies and keeps indemnified Pitch for the Future Team against all claims, losses, damages, and expenses suffered by Pitch for the Future Team or any third parties arising out of the breach of these Terms
and Conditions by the participant, the conduct of the participant in the Competition or the use of any components of the prizes.
